C F A PROJECT #78
Vagabond Man
Campaign / AW 2022

The key insight this concept was based on was simple. There are plenty of jaw dropping facts about shoes that people don’t know. Let’s use them as a voice over and enrich the campaign with in copy.

The three visual concepts was created to capture different moods in the collection. Blue for smart, beige for dressed and outdoor for the more sturdy boots and workwear inspiration. This also allows for newness during the full autumn and winter season but still enabling recognizability.

The concept of this story was time. A day in the life of a serial dresser ; ) Working with a set camera we could show the passing of time with light, set design and wardrobe changes.

Carolines character changes constantly between extraordinary outfits by the young design talents. Eating, reading, working and connecting. In one small space as the day passes.

Jotex
Campaign / SS 2022

How to infuse a campaign for an interior company with fashion and energy when the mood is serenity. We developed a concept around a model in blurry motion moving through the minimalist home with sculptural elements.

Using natural light and tone on tone styling for both interior and fashion the tranquility vibe was captured. We called it “Clean Slate”

C F A PROJECT #76
Vagabond Man
Campaign / SS 2022

To make campaigns work on social media, a layer of polish usually needs to go. We decided to get closer to the street and be playful this season.

Bringing in everything from dogs to mirrors and bikes we divided up the seasonal campaign into 5 mini campaigns. Keeping the ads, store material and content more variated and getting the shoes into focus.

For the films we captured Jai’s energy interacting with his surroundings. An old C F A trick of getting the model to shoot some own iPhone footage also added a layer for social channels.

C F A PROJECT #75
Elle Magazine
Editorial / AW 2021

What do you do when the only editorial shoot day is raining away? Turn it to an advantage of course.

With clear umbrellas from Japan, wet slick hair and models with an attitude so fierce it scared the locals we turned the office and area around Götgatan to a fashion rain dance.

C F A PROJECT #74
Vagabond Man
Campaign / AW 2021

Inspired by Irvings Penns corner images and Ugo Rondidones sculptures we developed the idea of portraying the personality of a contemporary man in a studio wearing Vagabonds AW 21 footwear collection.

Using the colour red to add power to our images we also created several versions of set design to get variation into the campaign.

For the film we also added outdoor footage with Sandy and Gabriel to get a sense of a city surrounding. The voice over tells the story of past years feelings of isolation and of course the remedy – putting on your shoes to go out.

C F A PROJECT #72
Vogue Ukraine
Editorial / AW 2020

The spring of 2020 was unprecedented in so many ways. To find hope and light we initiated creativity.

Going to our favourite island in the Stockholm archipelago we went just four people. Agnes did her own hair and make up. No crew or assistants, just us.

The results when creating with no restrictions was liberating. The contrast of Olofs dreamy photography, the all black styling, the ocean and derelict buildings was like a metaphor for 2020.

C F A PROJECT #73
Adnym Atelier
Campaign / SS 2021

The idea of community and re-unite was at the center of our mood for the Adnym SS21 campaign.

This season our keywords were cooperation, fragile / strong, post and renaissance summing up what we were searching for during the madness that was 2020.

Photographed and filmed at a disused army fort on an island now slowly taken over by nature provided the perfect backdrop for the campaign.

The quarantine started posing questions on how to create fashion editorials with minimal teams.

Luckily a recipe we are used to cooking, this project was a study in clashing the beautiful nature around us with high fashion and a hint of re-birth.

Campaign / AW 2020

Focusing on four key words – Clean, Artistic, Raw, Attitude we cast local artists and designers via Instagram to avoid traditional model casting and add a unique feel to the campaign.

Creating a set that borders between gallery and room we captured the mood we defined as Anti Excess with VHS for moving and analogue film for the stills.

Allowing the whole team and models to post everything on social media in real time led to the shoot itself to become a well shared event.

Campaign / AW 2020

Music is something everyone can relate to and as our research showed it is a big interest for the Only & Sons customer.

Using music as a tool for storytelling we created the campaign B-Side Icons for the Danish menswear brand with lookbooks, films, campaign images and social media content.

We cast real Danish musicians and chose the band Go Go Berlin as the campaign’s main characters. They radiate style and positivity in their musical enthusiasm and elevated the collection perfectly.

Campaign / Resort 2020

For Swedish fashion brand House of Dagmars resort 2020 campaign we took inspiration from the Japanese details in the collection for the shoot idea. Combining the lookbook images with still lifes helped framing the campaign artistically.

C F A PROJECT #64
We Love magazine
Editorial / Spring 2020

Playful – the best word to describe the approach of both designer Jacquemus and our client Bolon.

For the 2020 issue of We Love Magazine we created this editorial story using the images we shot with photographer Pauline Suzor and flooring samples cut up by collage artist Tinka Luiga. In this way both the worlds of fashion and design could meet on the magazine page elevated by set design, movement and the fun ballroom loving Malaika.

Bolon We Love
Magazine / 2020

Flooring company Bolon asked us to create an annual magazine that would inspire rather than educate and we decided to mix the world of design and fashion, just as they do.

With our editorial direction we developed ideas and articles that would allow us to subtly draw parallels to the Bolon products and we designed the magazine to impress aesthetically but with readability in mind. Using a mix of young and established photographers created a visually striking product.

C F A PROJECT #65
Elle Magazine
editorial / SPRING 2020

How do you capture the essence of a woman whose status as style icon is sealed over three decades in fashion? We decided to dig both in the past of her early modelling days and her present by surrounding her with family and friends in the shoot to create a varied timeline of images to tell her story.

In post production we used physical collage to tell both stories at once. The result is an editorial story that moves beyond the idea of only clothes and a model and highlights the story of life.

H&M Conscious Exclusive
Campaign / Autumn 2019

For H&Ms most important collection, as it combines both sustainability and a high fashion level, we created this campaign. Inspired by the holy grail of glamourous nights – The Met Gala – we found out the best party is during the in between moment. The elevator entrance, the selfies in the bathroom, arriving down the grand staircase and a well deserved break on the rooftop.

For the social media channels we asked the models to create content themselves with their iPhones. It captured the feeling of a real party and defined an unusually intimate style of communication for a brand like H&M.

H&M Man
Campaign / Spring 2019

For H&M Man we created the spring campaign “A fresh start” based on the idea that the best way to update your look besides buying new clothes is getting a haircut.

House of Dagmar
Campaign / AW 2019

Defining the Dagmar woman meant visualising her eye for the artistic chic and constructing her setting – the art gallery.

By working with auction house Bukowskis we were able to use existing environments that provided a local solution to an international environment. By creating the shoot at the earliest stage possible of the collection our client was able to use campaign material at buyers meetings with retailers meaning the focus products that would be marketed in-season was already decided. Max Eklund
Visual Direction / 2020

How do you create visuals for a music producer in the post millennial generation that wants to stay anonymous but that is still creatively defined?

We decided to take inspiration from modern music production and visually sample from the internet to build the visual world of Max Eklund.

Inspired by rhythm we created a symbol that we then applied to a colourful, abstract and mystical world. Resulting in lots of variations and a visual library of content for social media platforms.

Our concept for multi brand retailer Sthlm Blvd had long been defined – photograph local casting on the streets and buildings of Stockholm styled in “straight from the shop” looks.

Mixing all the stores different brands in each look was key to show the unique combinations the store offered.

Using lots of detail shots for each look allowed focus on singular products resulting in efficiently producing SoMe content and campaign material at the same time.

ELLE MAGAZINE
editorial / Summer 2018

In mathematics the power of two is a force to be reckoned with. In fashion photography it’s exactly the same.

Never can a single posing girl beat the juxtaposition between two characters. Dressed in a visual clash that the softness of silk scarves and sharp tailoring create, Tatiana and Saptieu act out a modern version of Person in this architectural setting in front of Angelina Bergenwalls lens.

RENAISSANCE MAGAZINE
editorial / Summer 2018

A retouch free fashion magazine with a high fashion approach, featuring only models over 40 – a concept impossible not to love and support.

We created a story for Renaissance magazine based on our friend Johanna and her embodiment of the ultimate lifestyle balance, health + food + fashion. Oh and of course named the story after her instagram handle @detoxlife.

Photographed entirely around the heart of her home, Johannas kitchen, she threw fierce poses and created amazing food all day.

KLÄTTERMUSEN
FASHION DIRECTION / SS 2018

With outdoor client Klättermusen the goal is to get as real as possible to show the clothes in the environment they were made for. With real climbers in front of the camera, living on the mountain for days doing real expeditions captured by a climbing photographer this is as real as it gets. And this was the very first expedition.

We make sure each climber has complete wardrobes for the expeditions with both style and function in mind and that this syncs with our clients marketing strategy.

Swedese
Campaign / News 2018

For the 2018 News campaign for Swedish furniture producer Swedese we created a minimal version of the image concept we had developed for them over the past year.

With a cleaner studio setting to elevate the design and using a natural style of photography to communicate an honest approach the products became subtly iconic.

By also documenting the designers working in the factory we focused on the behind the scenes process often forgotten in the design industry.

We created a long term 360 degree campaign including image shoots, catalogues, print advertising, moving content, trade show consultancy, logo design and communication platform.

& Other Stories
Campaign / winter 2017

When given the challenge of making a party campaign with a fresh angle our ideas came from the place we mostly visit for inspiration – the art world. This way we could create a story around an art gallery, a space that both frames the clothes nicely, usually is full of people on opening night and looks the same around the world since this is a global client.

We scouted a local upmarket gallery and filled it with set design art, lots of friends and our models.

swedese
Campaign / home 2017

The At Home campaign was our first focused on the Swedese residential customer and we framed the products with Scandinavian modern light in warm home environments.

The key aspect of our strategy was giving their products context by photographing them in real locations. A real home, an office, a gallery or in the factory where they are produced and using a more natural style of photography, normally more common in fashion, to communicate a more honest approach.

We created a long term 360 degree campaign including image shoots, catalogues, print advertising, moving content, trade show consultancy, logo design and communication platform.

Atelier Torbjörn Tillander
Campaign / AW 2017

Inspired by the beauty of gemstones sparkling in sunshine we built the idea for this campaign for our fine jewellery client Atelier Torbjörn Tillander.

By creating a set design in a studio to emphasise the simplicity of something beautiful we gave the story a poetic touch and with long time collaborator photographer Philip Messmann, a master of light, the beauty of both Jennae and the pieces from Tillander all came to shine.

Swedese
Catalogue / Autumn 2017

The challenge with the GAP collection is the sheer size of the product and that it’s meant for large public spaces.

So we worked with 3D rendering images since the key to our strategy for Swedese was giving their products context by showing them in real locations.

Adding a physical gap in the catalogue taken from the product design we conveyed the unique aspect of the furniture line.

Styleby magazine
Editorial / Summer 2017

When commissioned by Styleby magazine to portray singer Frida Hyvönen our starting point was in her deepest thoughts, the lyrics of her latest album. From those lyrics we wrote visual ideas to each image based on scenarios that Frida sang about. T

ogether with photographer Lars Brønseth we then realised each scenario with light and colour and let Frida handwrite her own lyrics again over the images. When music, fashion and photography comes together in perfect harmony.

Elle Magazine
Editorial / Spring 2017

Asked to create a story on 90s fashion muse Anna Klevhag, that also was a Martin Margiela favourite, the inspiration was obvious. With styling, photography and set design we paid homage to the master of making basic look exotic.

With a raw gallery space as backdrop and using denim, tailoring and twisted details in the styling Anna K quickly reclaimed status in the fashion world. The story was so good we published our own ‘Art directors cut’, a way for us to expand the story without the limitations of a magazine.

Styleby Magazine
Editorial / Spring 2017

As the lack of love in the world was becoming more and more evident we used the power of street casting, real and new couples, to explore the idea of making love visual again. To empower and remind people that there is a strong and colourful message in the beauty of being true to yourself and that love is the only way forward.

Working with British photographer Agnes Lloyd-Platt and her abstract and colourful approach we built this story around the kiss and the emotions of our subjects.

Bon Magazine
Editorial / Autumn 2016

Small crews on private locations is a great way to create intimate shoots with lots of spontaneous moments. Add analogue photography to keep the creative secret tight and a genius like Tung Walsh behind the camera for a lot of crazy ideas.

We got commissioned to shoot the amazing Dries Van Noten S/S 17 collection for BON magazine and went to town, more accurately the legendary Columbia hotel in West London. Rooms seeping with hedonism provided the perfect backdrop and Yana smoked her way through the hotel and added a large dose of attitude to the story.

Elle Magazine
Editorial / autumn 2016

Inspired by the horizon, as it is natures waist, we created an editorial fashion story based on the idea of revitalising a more feminine silhouette with a cinched waist in an era exploding of oversized clothing.

We went on a trip to the Swedish countryside with our close team of collaborators to explore how changing nature and DIY set design behind our model could emphasise the waist even more. A reminder that staying local sometimes is the best way to find the most fascinating environments.

Atelier Torbjörn Tillander
Campaign / AW 2016

Social media is a great way for us to get to know our new clients. Here we used the love for horses that the Tillander family shares on instagram as inspiration for the first campaign we created for them.

Using a beautiful black stallion as backdrop for the jewellery and a styling inspired by the equestrian world we managed to give the campaign a defined look at the same time as elevating the fine jewellery.

Photographed by creating a makeshift studio outside the stables the sun gave the stones an extra sparkle.

BON Magazine
Editorial / Autumn 2016

We were given the opportunity to create a story on Hedi Slimanes last collection at Saint Laurent and looked for inspiration in two of Hedi’s main influences. The youth of Los Angeles and industrial design.

Clashing this with the collections couture approach we photographed a group of local Cali girls on the beach in Venice, LA and juxtaposed the layout with beautiful American designed classic cars.

It ran as a cover story in BON magazine and a special edition ‘art directors cut’ was also produced with a handwritten letter to Hedi.

C F A Journal
Magazine / autumn 2016

C F A journal was created as a platform to develop and challenge the framework of fashion photography. This issue was a collaboration with photographer Paul Jung and features dancers Eva Mohn and Eszter Czédulás from the Cullberg Balett dance company.

Within the theme ‘Interzone’ a series over seven acts was created to explore what the space in-between looks like and how this can be expressed visually. Published independently the magazine will over time prove that modern fashion photography can also be timeless.

Bolon
Book / Winter 2016

Imagine that the most internationally styled boutique guest house in Sweden is in fact a converted old butchers building in Ulricehamn. Our client Bolon is slowly transforming this small town to a design destination and Urban House is the latest addition that started with Lake House.

We helped create the book that Bolon CEO and previous Urban House tenant Annica Eklund photographed over a long period of time, documenting the details, rooms and of course the guests.

Elle Sweden
Editorial / spring 2016

Love. A subject worth creating lots of stories on. This was a fashion editorial for Elle that we developed almost as a film script. The story of a girl who likes very bright coloured outfits and that gets his attention in the subway one day. Intrigued he follows her, in a non-creepy way, and they finally get it together.

Produced on the coldest day of the year in the Stockholm subway it explores the alternatives of local production off season.

Based on the fashion idea of clothes as a blank canvas we built the idea for ‘Toile’ and set designed a couture atelier in Stockholms smallest daylight studio to be able to document the working process.

Casting a French couture model plus an extras team including a real seamstress we made the fitting look authentic. A very fun way of initially framing a fashion editorial with white clothes. This is exactly the kind of storytelling C F A is specialised in.

Lamija
Fashion show / SS 2016

After our part in the very successful launch of the brand Lamija with the AW15 concept and show it was time for the very anticipated follow up catwalk show. Keeping in tradition with her couture style look we helped Lamija develop this show in line with her growing brand.

Projecting a film of an ultrasound together with the sound of a heartbeat before the slow show started helped setting a more reflective mood to remind the audience to take time to look at the laboured looks inspired by DNA chains. Bringing in our hair and make up expert friends help put the perfect finishing touch.

KappAhl
Campaigns / AW 2015

Clothing retail giant KappAhl came to us with the assignment to develop a marketing celebrity signing they had just done – Roxette.

We built a concept based on their song ‘The Look’ and started with doing a short film based on a re-recording of The Look with Roxette in the original music studio. After that film went viral the fashion campaigns started rolling out with concept names such as ‘The always black look’ and TVCs featuring the song without Roxette actually featuring in the fashion campaigns. A very successful combination.

Book / Winter 2015

In the Swedish small town of Ulricehamn an international design company is growing – Bolon. And with that comes international needs.

Not being able to check in their guests at the local hotel any more they rebuilt a villa by the lake to a Bolon guest house.
